Unlike the widely recognised black exterior covering, the interior of the Holy Kaaba was also adorned with specially commissioned textiles. These interior coverings were produced using luxurious materials and decorated with Arabic calligraphy, sacred inscriptions and traditional Ottoman motifs.
This rare fragment is made from genuine silk and bears historic Ottoman seals and official stamps, offering an important connection to the centuries-old tradition of honouring and beautifying Islam’s most sacred sanctuary.
