Historic Kiswa Exhibition Held in Sheffield
Sheffield hosted its first-ever Kiswa Exhibition on 21 December 2025, marking a significant cultural and religious milestone for the city. The exhibition attracted up to 3,000 visitors, who came to view rare and sacred Kiswa fabrics and artefacts from the two holiest sites in Islam, Makkah and Madinah.
The event witnessed an exceptional turnout, with hundreds of attendees queuing to experience the exhibition, demonstrating the profound reverence and interest these sacred artefacts inspire within the community.
The exhibition was delivered with the support of An Nasiha and the Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery, and was hosted by Jamiyate Tabligh-ul-Islam Mosque.
The occasion was further honoured by the presence of local councillors, imams representing various masjids from across the region, and the Mayor of Rotherham, Councillor Rukhsana Ismail, underscoring the event’s significance and wide-reaching community impact.
