Museum Association Perthyn Conference

Kiswa Arts & Culture Gallery at the Cardiff Perthyn Museum Conference

On Tuesday, 7th October 2025, Kiswah Arts & Culture Gallery had the honour of attending — and proudly sponsoring — the Perthyn Museum Association Conference in Cardiff.

As full-time members and sponsors of the Museum Association, we were delighted to represent the growing voice of Islamic art, heritage, and culture within the wider museum community. Our participation continues to strengthen our ties and collaboration with museums and cultural institutions across the UK and beyond.

At the conference, we showcased the sacred artistry of the Kiswah of the Holy Kaaba and the blessed coverings from Madinah Al-Sharifah, including pieces connected to the Tomb and resting place of Prophet Muhammad ï·º.

The event brought together delegates and dignitaries from across the world — from Europe, the UK, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan. We had the opportunity to meet museum curators, directors, governors, chairpersons, and cultural leaders, all passionate about preserving history and sharing stories that unite communities.

It was an inspiring and productive day where many connected deeply with our mission and vision — to establish the first-ever Kiswa Arts & Culture Gallery in the UK. This rare and exclusive project is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the sacred heritage of the Holy Sites, highlighting their artistic, historical, and spiritual importance.

We built valuable connections, received tremendous support, and expanded our network of cultural professionals who share our dedication to heritage preservation.

Another remarkable milestone in our journey — one step closer to bringing the Kiswa Arts & Culture Gallery to life, Insha’Allah
