PMGS Weekend Kiswa Exhibition – A Fantastic & Well-Received Event
On the weekend of 16th & 17th May 2026, the Kiswa Arts & Culture Gallery had the honour of hosting a special exhibition at PMGS. We welcomed families, students, and members of the wider community for a truly memorable and educational experience ahead of the Hajj season.
A Warm Welcome to All
The exhibition opened to the general public on Saturday from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm and continued on Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. We were thrilled to see a fantastic turnout across both days! Visitors had the opportunity to witness rare and historic Kiswah artefacts. They engaged in live curating sessions, asked questions, and learned more about the history, significance, and preservation of the sacred Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba.
Engaging with Our Community
Throughout the weekend, we experienced excellent engagement with families and attendees. Meaningful Q&A discussions took place, alongside educational presentations. We received valuable feedback from the public, which we deeply appreciate. The event created a welcoming environment for learning, reflection, and appreciation of Islamic heritage and history.
This exhibition also marked a successful return to PMGS. The response and reception exceeded our expectations once again! Alongside the educational benefits, the weekend opened doors for further networking opportunities. Various organisations and individuals expressed interest in future collaborations and exhibitions across different locations around the UK.
