Kiswa Artefact Exhibition in Forest Gate Draws Thousands
On Saturday, 25th June 2025, the sacred legacy of the Holy Kaaba and Madinah Al-Munawarrah graced Quwwat Ul Islam Mosque in Forest Gate, London, with an awe-inspiring display of authentic Kiswat Al Kaaba artefacts. The event saw a remarkable turnout of over 3,000 to 4,000 attendees throughout the day, a testament to the deep love and reverence the Muslim community holds for these sacred relics.
The event began with a segregated session dedicated to women, with many local learners and female attendees from the community and the masjid participating. It was a beautiful, spiritual opening, filled with heartfelt emotion and connection to the holy sites these artefacts came from.
Soon after, a second wave of attendees arrived—children and young people aged between 6 and 18. Their energy and passion were incredible to witness. The younger generation engaged deeply with the exhibition, asking questions and absorbing the history, stories, and spiritual significance of each piece. These moments reminded us that our future is in safe hands—full of curiosity, love for deen, and a genuine desire to connect with Islamic heritage.
As visitors continued to arrive in waves, each walk-through was carefully tailored to suit the crowd. Whether it was women, children, or families, everyone was given a detailed and narrated tour, bringing the artefacts to life and placing them within the broader history of Islam, the Kaaba, and Madinah Al-Munawarrah.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsor, Roast and Co., a family-run business that played a vital role in the event’s success. From nourishment for the volunteers to marketing the event across Forest Gate via social media and word of mouth, their support was both generous and impactful.
We are also immensely grateful to the committee and dedicated volunteers of Quwwat Ul Islam Masjid, who provided security, crowd control, and operational support throughout the day. Their hospitality, organisation, and commitment helped make the event smooth and welcoming for all.
From the heart of London’s Forest Gate to the hearts of thousands, this was more than an exhibition—it was a spiritual journey. We thank everyone who attended and supported, and we look forward to returning to London very soon with even more treasures of our sacred heritage.
Stay connected, stay inspired, and let’s continue preserving and sharing the legacy of our faith—together.
