Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery Exhibition Draws Over 1,500 Visitors at Satuq Bughra Khan Masjid, Uyghur Education Centre

Satuq Bughra Khan Masjid & Uyghur Education Centre proudly hosted a landmark Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery Exhibition, welcoming over 1,500 attendees throughout the day in a spiritually uplifting and historic community event
Despite the cold winter weather, visitors travelled from across London — North, East, South, and West — reflecting the deep love and reverence held for the sacred Kiswah of the Holy Kaaba. The exhibition was non-segregated, allowing families, elders, youth, and children to experience the artefacts together in an inclusive and welcoming environment
The day began with a special dignitaries’ session in the morning, prior to opening for the general public. This exclusive slot enabled invited guests and community representatives to engage with the history, craftsmanship, and spiritual significance of the Kiswah in a focused setting.
A food stall outside the masjid contributed to a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, as visitors arrived continuously throughout the day. Inside, the exhibition was carefully curated, with each group guided through the display to ensure an organised, educational, and respectful experience. Support from the team remained non-stop from start to finish
Heartfelt thanks were extended to Salim (Heart of Enfield Mosque) and Chairman Abdullah for their leadership, support, and hospitality in hosting the exhibition at Satuq Bughra Khan Masjid. Special appreciation was also given to Naseema for her outstanding contribution in logistics, hands-on manual support on the day, as well as networking and advertising efforts.
The overwhelming turnout and heartfelt responses from attendees made the exhibition deeply rewarding. Many visitors expressed feeling spiritually moved and inspired, highlighting the power of sacred heritage to unite diverse communities
