Belle Vue Academy

On Saturday 20th September, Bellevue Girls Academy proudly hosted the Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery Exhibition, a truly unforgettable event that brought together thousands of people from across the community. From 11am to 4pm, the school was filled with families, students, community leaders, and visitors eager to engage with the rich heritage, history, and artistry of the Kiswah of the Holy Kaaba and other sacred artefacts.

The exhibition was more than just an art showcase – it was a celebration of multiculturalism and multi-faith dialogue. Muslims and non-Muslims alike came together to learn, reflect, and appreciate the depth of Islamic art and history. It was heartening to see so many conversations taking place across cultures and faiths, promoting unity and mutual understanding through the universal language of heritage and creativity.

The atmosphere on the day was absolutely fantastic. Guests were captivated by the beauty of the artefacts and the stories behind them, while also being inspired by the vision of establishing a permanent Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery in the UK. Many attendees even made personal commitments to support the infrastructure needed to make this dream a reality.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible teamwork and dedication of our volunteers and helpers. From setting up the infrastructure to ensuring smooth logistics, from managing security to providing hospitality and nutrition, every effort played a vital role in the event’s success. The spirit of service and community was truly alive throughout the day.

The exhibition at Belle Vue Girls Academy stands as a shining example of how art and culture can bring people together, spark meaningful dialogue, and inspire future generations. We thank everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to making this event such a remarkable success.

We look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate and share the treasures of Islamic art and heritage with the wider community
